tiffanie & marc couple's shoot - riverside cemetery asheville, nc

One of my favorite things to do is creative, editorial, styled shoots. Ok, who am I kidding? It’s my absolute favorite thing to do! Especially when I get to work with really awesome clients who are also rad friends and artists! Marc and Tiffanie wanted a goth-y, Victorian inspired couple’s shoot in an old cemetery, and I knew just the place - Riverside in Asheville, NC. Marc is an incredible tattoo artist and all-around awesome guy who has been working on my botanical sleeve, and his wife Tiffanie is just as badass. I loved loved LOVED shooting them together. They had no problem getting intimate and steamy in front of my camera. Even when they’re not looking at each other, their chemistry is undeniable! Special thanks to Franky Martinez of Franky and Rogue Beauty for making these two look so incredible!

Of course Marc collects awesome artifacts, so we had plenty of props to work with: a raven, a scythe, and a real human skull.

After a couple of cool Victorian outfits, we put Tiffanie in this gorgeous red dress by local designer and artist Amanda Rose

Marc simply could not take his eyes off Tiff during this whole segment, and I just love how steamy they got in the vines together!

It was such a blast making art with you two in a cemetery for hours! I can’t wait for our next installment!

it's been a while...

When I started building this website at the beginning of the year, I promised myself I would update the blog regularly.  So, naturally, this is the first post I've written in almost 5 months!

It turns out that between organizing shoots, running my business, and editing, editing, editing, blogging ends up slipping through the cracks.  But, here I am, attempting to be better about it!

Most recently, the weather has been cooling off and the leaves are slowly changing for autumn (a.k.a. photographer's paradise!)  Model Kayla and I ran up on the parkway last week to try and catch the beginning of the fall colours.  Sadly, not many trees had transformed yet, so we decided to focus on colour and light. Ultimately, it was a fruitful afternoon that yielded some beautiful shots!

Some red smoke bombs yielded an interesting 15 minutes. Pro tip: smoke bombs burn the hell out of your eyes and make you smell like Satan, but they look hella cool!

Sometimes, the lust for adventure just hits you, and you have to go for a drive on the Parkway and chase down that gorgeous mountain light!  I'm lucky to live in a place that is so full of beauty, and to have talented friends that participate in my photo-seeking whims!
